How does this work?

5/8/2023

A question I get asked a lot in initial emails is 'so, how does this work?'

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect after you've emailed me.

Write in with a rough, or exact, idea of what you want. We are then able discuss componentry availability, costs and my lead time.

Once we agree a spec, I send a detailed invoice of the wheels to you for your sign off and the go ahead. At this point I require payment in full before any components are ordered. Currently, my business is too small to hold any amount of stock, it's too risky, financially, for me.

When payment is received, your wheel build date is confirmed, subject to all components arriving in time. If there are any hold ups or stock issues, I will notify you as soon as I am aware of the situation.

In terms of wheel build date, I usually give a 'week commencing' slot. I do this because, for the time being, I operate Strongheart two to three days a week whilst holding two other part time jobs. Booking builds in this way gives me a bit of flexibility in case things don't go to plan. I will always give you a 'your wheels will be ready by X date at the latest'.

If you are picking up wheels in person, I will notify you as soon as they are ready for pickup so that we can arrange a mutually convenient time for the handover. If wheels are being shipped, I will notify you when the wheels are finished and on what day they will ship.

Any other questions? Drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.
